Master Acaharvadee Wongsakon – KBO Climate
Bangkok – Meditation Master Acharavadee Wongsakon has seen the future and it’s not looking good. The problem that Acharavadee has seen clearly in her meditation, is rapid Global Warming as a result of the Internet. Master Acharavadee is a Buddhist Meditation Master who has mediated an astounding 17,ooo hours. According to Wongsakon’s book GLOBAL WARMING CRISIS – AND AN UNSPOKEN TRUTH – things are not looking good for our world.
The culprit as it turns out is all those selfies, pictures and useless data we create every day to fill up our social media accounts.
Acharavadee coined the term INTERNET INDUCED CLIMATE CHANGE to describe what she envisions will happen to the world if we do not wake up. According to Wongsakon all those selfies, instant messages, emails and unnecessary data that the world is producing daily, is leading to accelerated Global Warming and Climate Change. This is because most of this data and our social media accounts are stored on Cloud servers, which require an ever growing amount of electricity. And where does electricity come from? Unfortunately, the answer is the majority is still generated from fossil fuels (oil and coal).
Anyone following the stock market or reading Forbes Magazine these days, can see that Cloud storage has become huge business. Companies like Amazon, Google and Microsoft are all competing for your cloud storage demands. The term Cloud Wars is used to describe the fierce competition for your data. Giant Data centers known as “Data Farms” in concert with social media companies like Facebook, Instagram and Pinterest, are enticing members to post and repost data at ever increasing rates. As these Cloud storage companies grow so does their demand for fossil fuel derived electricity, fed by the endless stream of data that we are encouraged to create everyday.
The Internet ironically is the very system we thought would educate us about Global Warming and our Eco-systems, the fact is that the Internet is what is causing us to heat up the planet at alarming rates. We are feeding the Internet with all those selfies and data, not realizing that is will eventually lead to destruction of our climate and our own demise.
According to the Guardian Newspaper by 2025 Cloud servers and their Data farms will use one fifth of the world’s energy consumption. And this figure will grow exponentially to 3 times that amount over the next decade, if the world continues to feed Cloud storage. The increase in electricity derived from fossil fuels, will lead to increased amounts of Carbon dioxide. And this is where science and Acharavade vision converge.
Internet Induced Climate Change leads to Global warming due to the accumulation of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere, which besides hampering the flow of wireless transmissions and satellite communications, actually undermines human cognitive ability. According to Microsoft computer scientist Jaron Lanier “Carbon dioxide clouds the mind”. It directly degrades our ability to think clearly. As we are attempting to use the internet to educate ourselves, we are actually filling the atmosphere with carbon dioxide that is impacting our intelligence and decision making. Acharavadee and Lanier agree that “The crisis of global warming is a crisis of the mind, a crisis of thought, a crisis in our ability to think. Soon, we shall not be able to think at all.”
According to Acharavadee it is becoming more and more difficult to reach stages of enlightenment as we destroy our climate the very eco-system that provides us the ability to meditate and free our minds.
Cloud Storage
The move of the telecommunications industry to install 5G is being advertised as necessity to speed up the internet and counter those carbon dioxide transmission related problems. But what it will really do is create a tighter web to keep our minds locked by gravity and the world of illusion, teaches Acharavadee.
Both science and Master Acharavadee Wongsakon share wisdom to preventing this looming global disaster of Internet Induced Climate Change. Master Acharavadee advocates all of us spending at least 15 minutes a day deleting useless data from our cloud servers. (unnecessary emails, selfies, social media posts). Wongsakon states that this will radically reduce the world energy waves and also reduce the heat generated by the growth of cloud storage farms.
Scientist like Jaron Lanier have a more radical solution suggesting, ” if people deleted their social media accounts, it would so significantly curtail the amount of data feeding into the cloud data farms, reducing the massive energy consumption so much as to make the internet a relatively eco-friendly technology – like it was during the 90s.”
Lanier’s approach may not be as practical or realistic as Acharavadee’s middle path approach.
