RCS has suspended both Currington and Brown from their instructional duties, in accordance with the state law, while the investigation continues.

Upon being made aware of the allegations against Currington and Brown, RCS notified the Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office.

RCS is coordinating with law enforcement in its on-going investigation. Because of state confidentiality laws concerning school employees, RCS is unable to release any additional information at this time, including the nature of the allegations.

Mr. Brown and Mr. Currington are instructors in R-S Central High School’s Marine-JROTC program. RCS has employed substitute instructors for the JROTC Program during Brown and Currington’s suspension.
